To be able to use the dedicated Ruida remote control OR to be able to use the free Android and iOS apps on your smartphone, you must have firmware that is version .48 or higher. This file is .50.

I've got the Ruida RDC6445G(EC) and RDLC-V15.01.10 and if I want to upgrade the firmware, I get a "UPD and mainboard not match!" error. I mainly would like to update to use the smartphone App (although I enabled under user>wireless panel>>speed shift). The phone and the ruida ethernet controller are in the same subnet (192.168.6.66 and 192.168.6.90). Any thoughts?
PS: A .53 Version of the file can be found at http://www.rabbitlaserusa.com/DriverDis ... /Firmware/

My guess is that the 6445 needs a different specific firmware version. The one I posted works with the common 6442G.
Last time I looked, it appeared Cloudray was the only one selling that 6445 controller so maybe you need to contact Cloudray directly to see if they can supply firmware revision files. With that said, the 6445 is so new that I would think even the first version of the 6445's firmware already had the remote coding built-in.

Hey Doug,
My system mode is 644XS, I've tried searching the Ruida site and all I found was version 1.26 for 644XG. Are you familiar with these enough to the difference and if this update will work?
Thanks for you insight.

No, I am pretty sure the file I posted was for the 6442G version only, not the 6442S. That is a separate one. You will have to search the English and Chinese Ruida websites. If those don't have it, start searching the major laser vendor websites. You might find it fast or it might take some digging.
My understanding is that the 6445G combines all features of the 6442G and S into a single unit now.

Evan, you'll find 6442S firmware files in this Facebook group's files area. I think it may be a closed group so you need to apply to join.
