Hello everybody,

I must say I really enjoy learning stuff about my laser. I bought it from the local dealership after all the videos I watched I realized it is just another Chinese laser :D. I was not surprised at all.

Anyway. Because I am such an amateur on this forum. I have to ask how can I ask some questions on this forum. because I was using the search button and I can't find any topics on function PEN UP AND DOWN. and I really want to try it, since I have an automatic table. :P

I really need to thank Russ for his videos. he really blows my mind about lasers and how this piece of engineering works. :o

Welcome Dejan- we are all learners here. I have gotten the pen up/down to work a couple years ago but I can't seem to get it to work now- not sure how I did it. I use the Test Tab for Z movements [manually] and have my Z calibrated so that the travel is very close to accurate. The way I might use it is to first cut out a blank in acrylic and then press the down Z [set at perhaps 50mm] and then do a scan in a long small area that I would like to bend the acrylic. The heat produced [and some melting] will give a very accurate bend line. Pressing the up Z button in the Test tab returns the bed to correct focus. I will attach a sample product picture which I hope explains this. A printed vinyl decal was applied but it could also be engraved of course.
