Hello all, I have picked up an Import 300x500mm 50w machine, it works o.k. and does function as intended, but I think I can greatly improve the quality and really optimize the performance of the machine with a little work, some upgrade parts and knowledge.

Welcome Brad. Unfortunately I am sure you are correct. Many of the lasers available suffer from poor quality control at the factory and are easily improved with bit of work. I am sure you gain a better understanding of the device as a result of your labors.
