Hi all,
First of a series of questions as I've been getting more familiar with our Hackspace's KH-7050-B (Redsail X700 clone).
Many thanks in advance.
1. I'm trying to identify the board but can't see any markings on it and wondered how accurate the listing in the Model tab of RDworks is?
It says it's a 644XG with the 'auto' in that menu turned on.

2. If I look at the manual for the 644XG, the picture on page 12 shows a 644XG-A and wondered if anyone knows the significance of the '-A' part please?

3. I've found the usage data and know I can reset this. It could be really helpful to us but I was wondering whether anyone had found a way to interrogate this information from a script or less manual way?

" 644XG" is just lazy Ruida-speak. The "X" in that number actually is a lazy way of covering multiple controller model numbers because the X can indicate more than one number. Examples include 6442G and 6445G controller model numbers.

Open up your laser and look for the big white controller box with blue diagramming on it. Look for a light silver-ish label with black writing which will have the controller model number on it. It is often placed on one of the sides/edges of the controller and can be hard to see after the controller is installed (e.g on the top edge).

The 'X' in 644XG is a placeholder for a number that denotes the control panel. I've seen a document that tells us what each number is - one of the 4's says it's 4 axes - and the X is display style. 1, I think, is a panel similar to the 320 controller, 2 is the style that most of us have, and 3 is a larger touchscreen panel. 5 is obviously a different enough panel that it needs its own entry in the model list, probably the firmware is quite different too.
