I have been in the cabinet making industry for the last 18 years and have quite a bit of experience with CNC machinery. My boss is heading up a project at our local boys and girls club to start a fab lab. The laser is the first piece of this project and he has asked me and a couple of others to learn the machine and software to come up with some training material. I already have a ton of questions but will post them in a diiferent post. I look forward to interacting with this community and trust that this will be a great resource! Any advice from someone who has done a project like this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! (her'es a link to the machine we bought https://www.toolots.com/55-35-1-2-130w- ... 1490c.html)

Welcome Matthew- that machine is almost a copy of mine- which I love. I don't see a mA gauge- it needs one and record the vender and user files before you go further please. Bless your boss for working toward showing people what a joy it is to create something- many people never realize that I am afraid. I don't have any experience with the maker labs but we have very knowledgeable members for cnc, laser and 3d printing/designing. Gene
