Hey All;
I'm relatively new to laser cutters, but have been an avid woodworker for years. I purchased a 'red and black" (HL-1060) about 6 months ago, and am loving it so far.
I had to do some minimal tune up (Fixed a slight bow in the middle of the table), replaced the exhaust fan with something quieter, and switched to using my air compressor for air assist.
I will soon be adding an amp meter, and an air valve so that the controller controls the air flow.
Mostly wood projects so far, though I did just order a bunch of acrylic to work with, and have done a few marble etchings. Wall hangings, 3d boxes, ornaments, coasters, etc.
Looking forward to what I can learn from the forum.

Welcome Andrew. Unless you have dryer on you air compressor I recommend a decicant filter on the air going into the laser to remove any moisture. A laser enhances many wood projects in ways that would be much harder otherwise.

Thanks Pete. I already have a dryer and separate regulator for the laser cutter. I saw mention of that when I was doing my initial research.
