Thanks Willy. I'm a little surprised that 2" has enough depth of focus to handle so much curvature. Obviously it works.

Like I said, practice first. I went through 6 or 8 glasses with engravings covering most of the glass to get it right but it was well worth it.
I kept only the glass that ended up with the final settings written above the engraving.
If and when I get ready to do this again, I may have to start over as well because I have since changed my tube and added a beam combiner.

@willie.
I am very interested in your setup for the mason jars. why do you use foam sandwiched in 1/4"? also any tips on how you use the software with this template?

I use the foam and 1/4" plywood to make the template very sturdy so that it does not move. The mason jars fit inside snugly and lay flat without having to prop something else under the handle. Makes it very quick to change out the 8 jars, hit start and go again.
This was the first template I created and took several hours of trial and error. At the time I did not know much about the laser or RDW so I used masking tape (quite a lot of it) on the jars and a very low power to center the engravings until I got it right. Then I saved everything with directions written on the template to place again in the future. This was also before RDWorks forum, Russ's youtube and Lightburn software with camera setup. This job would be so much faster now.

I just looked at my settings and the interval that I use on EVERYTHING must be 0.100 because I have been using my laser since 2016 and have NEVER changed the interval.
