Hi Everyone,

I have started my journey into the laser world from a slightly different angle and decided to design and build my own using the "better parts" available from China. I stumbled across the RDworks learning lab, UTube videos Russ has been pumping out and these have been a Godsend. I must confess to binge watching and these have required me to redesign several section of my laser machine.

I'm at the parts ordering stage now and its getting exciting :)

Some info about myself. I'm a Mechanical and Plastic Engineer with a machine design background and heavily into 3D design and a very passionate user of IronCAD 3D design software.

I'm sure this forum will be another source of information as I kick start my laser machine into life.

Regards

Shane T

Welcome Shane- let us know if we can help in any way with your build. I would also encourage you to document your build for the benefit of others.
There is a ton[ne] of experience here with what does and does not work, large machines are more different than small machines than I would have thought for instance. Gene
