So after 6 months in the Currency doldrums the AU Peso and the Euro are back with a vengance against the USD and RMB :D This doesn't apply to the Pommie Pound and most likely Boris and Brexit issues (not mentioning the war ;) ) The USD to RMB is more or less pegged, nothing much changed there of note.

So time to look at buying bits or even look at an upgrade. For me it looks like time to buy the Tube and HV Power supply for my build and maybe look at feeding my Test Equipment addiction from the USA.

Will it improve some more or is back to recent historical levels about as good as it will get?

About a year ago, I wanted to buy a CO2 lasercutter to make my workspace complete. One problem was that lasercutters aren't cheap, especially not for hobbyists who want a large cutting area. Of course, for that price you also get awesome software and customer support when you buy a lasercutter, but I only turned 17 when I started this project and I just didn't have that money. That is why I built my own machine. I had already made a machine like this, so I thought: "Why not do it again?". Of course this one wouldn't be made out of MDF sheets.
