Hi guys
here's my introduction I was suggested this group from a fellow on Facebook that did an amazing job with a CAD drawing of a laser I'm thinking about building the y1200.
I have a k40 but I'm realizing that that is not big enough for my needs I also have just recently built a CNC workbee1515 and several 3D printers. I'm on the fence right now between a y1200 and a prebuilt 80w Chinese laser. Probably a preenex. I've been working a lot the last few days so I haven't had time to look through the forums yet and I also have not completed Russ videos but they are on my list as free time makes itself available.

Welcome Jason- we have a couple members building the laser you mention who are documenting the build and expanding upon it. Russ is a great basic education in the world of lasering and we try to provide some of the info he might have missed and we have a ton of helpful people here. Dig in. Gene

Hi Jason, welcome along
As you have outed yourself as an Electrician elsewhere and if you have some time I wouldn't mind another set of trained eyes with a Laser background go over my Layout and let me know if it needs a tweak here or there viewtopic.php?f=160&t=4823&sid=1da4d8ef ... 114f501c4b and help keep the Darwin Award winners away from Laser building and wiring
