I didn't have access to cheap or free acrylic. And buying it would be cost prohibitive for me. But, luckily, I am a wood worker and have all the tools I need to dimension wood to the size and thickness I need. So, I set to make the rotary tool out of wood. Mostly maple, a little bit of poplar and MDF. The thickness aren't perfect, but Russ made it so it was flexible. I haven't used it yet, but as a pen maker, it is going to come in super handy. As this is the reason I bought my laser.

Not perfect, but functional.

As long as you get the results you are looking for, it's success what counts... awesome.
