I'll post my questions here I don't see where else to put them?
I used my laser and all was fine for a year.
Then one day while cutting an order it went nuts in the middle of cutting and the laser head went to the right and crashed into the stop. I hit the STOP button and my nightmare began.
Nobody could help . I began buying new parts and changing everything one by one. Nothing worked. Finally many weeks later I found a blown relay. when I replaced that things got almost back to normal.
The issue now is I have the table origin set to TOP LEFT , and the SCREEN ORIGIN set to TOP LEFT. and when the machine is turned on it goes to top left.
When I download a file to cut which is located to the top left on the rdworks program it will download fine. The I go to the machine and put in my material to cut and move the laser head with the arrow buttons on the machine and press the ORIGIN button. I load the file and press ENTER. but when I press the FRAME button to check its path, it is going to the LEFT when it should be going to the RIGHT?
I can't seem to find the setting that is wrong. Can anybody help me with this issue?

Welcome Don- I am having a mental confusion day... is your green dot where you expect it to be for a start point? In the systems settings you can mirror your X and Y axis- does that have any effect? I am interested in which relay you replaced also. Gene
I don't normally use the origin on the machine- you might want to try the 'Position' [ie- current position, etc] and the selected graphics position check box- both by the start button. I have a micro computer on the machine and control it directly via LAN- that may make a difference as well.

Before the relay went out and now replaced the machine ran fine for a year. The home is set at TL and the green Dot is at the TF as usual. I place a sheet of wood in the machine and move the head to the TL of the work piece as I always did and then press origin button.
The weird part is bow if I were to load the file and press enter and then start it goes to the left and crashes or gives the slope error message. It should be going to the right!
So just to see if it would work at all I moved the file way over to the right to see what would happen. It cut and engraved the piece to the Left and all the text was backwards. So, that is really wrong.
Then I wen back into RDWORKS and mirrored the file and downloaded it to the machine and cut it again. This time it still cut it to the Left, which is wrong, but the text was correct.
from RDWORKS program on the laptop connected to the machine it looks as it used to look, normal. Green dot to the top left, file put to the top left, Arrow keys move the head the correct way,
It just want to go the opposite way on the machine to cut a file. It's never done that before.
Another thing is, I used to set in the User Settings for the cut to be the speed at 60 and the power at 65% for 1/8" ply. But at those settings it was not cutting it through at all. So the laser settings may be off also.
I don't know what the laser frequency used to be. Right now it is at 100 HZ I don't know if that is correct.

glass tube laser Freq should be 20khz
For homing in top left you should not have to mirror
(my system homes top right.)
I always align to center - position the dot where you want to align on your work by accessing "configuration" and then system "System"
