Hi everyone, I'm new to the laser cutting/engraving world. I've looked at a plethora of Russ's YT videos, still working my way through them. I've learned quite a lot. My laser is en route from China; 80W 900x600.

I'm an electrical engineer and I love to work and make things with my hands. The laser will enable me to delve deeper into the design software side of things. I am very excited to get started. I know there are a few steps that I need to take before I can start cutting, just to be safe like saving the machine settings and aligning the mirrors.

I'm also excited to learn from everyone here.

At last! After lots of back and forth I finally got my laser. I assembled the laser, connected all the peripherals and I still had one issue before I could start playing - I don't have a PC that can run RDWorks so I'm getting that sorted. It was quite intimidating to have this big machine in front of me. So, first things first - I need to backup my settings.

I'll let you know how I get on and keep on posting your work and issues so that everyone can learn from everyone's experiences.

Cheers for now.
