Recently retired from industrial bearing sales, but have been using cnc routers for about 6 years. My brother is Us distributor for Lasers and routers. He sells them and I play with them (I do the demos).

Welcome Nathan- if this is a new machine [seems odd it would have a 320 controller if it is new, that is a pretty old controller] and you installed a 6442 or similar controller you are probably figuring out the machine parameters? Your other post about the overrun, I would say was normal, whether a faster speed will actually take less time varies with what the job requires. The 320 should have been the same, maybe you just did not notice it? I normally engrave at 300 mm/sec and very occasionally it may be 4-500 depending upon how the engraving is laid out. Gene
