Hi Guys. Probably a pretty simple answer. When I deleted the store files in the control panel of rd works. I see there is an option to delete the information on the run time of the machine. Well I think thats what it said. How can I find how many hours I have used my machine for? Im curious as I use it nearly everyday and sometimes all day long. I have had it for about 3 yrs and have not lost any power at all.
Thanks in advance.
Scott
I did search for an answer but didnt find one.

I am unsure if there is a way to determine total run time - ifthere is it wold be buried in the vendore setting if it is captured.
The hours of use have less to do with life of the tube than you might think. The Tube degrades over time with or with out use due to the quench gases leaking out of the epoxy seal. Typically 5 years is the point at which most user see a degrade in performance.
COnstant use may have an impact on the power supply if you have crappy power (low frequency and low voltages being supplied).

So, you are looking for something else besides using RDWorks to read the data at the location below?
Config > System Settings > rd8888 > System info tab > Read
Be warned that if you never reset this information when you first got your machine, it is probably wildly inaccurate. Most everyone I know who checked this when their machine was new found the numbers implausible. It was as though the controller came from Ruida with odd test data already loaded and thus really needed to be reset by the laser builder but the builder was too lazy to do the reset. Once I did the reset, subsequent checks/reads appeared to provide plausible numbers.

Hi Doug. Thanks for that . I have a few lasers now, I will check the new ones and see what it says.
