I am retired from the Electronic Security industry (last year), 12 years as a technician and 12 years as management and I am looking for a hobby. So, the topic of lasers came up recently with a friend and I have been gathering information about it. To my amazement I have watched many You Tube videos about the topic and tried to soak up as much of the information as I can with what little brain matter I still have. There is a lot to learn. So. I plan on taking the plunge in the China laser route soon and hopefully I'll get lucky when I do and get one that won't disappoint me out of the box as there seems to be a large variety of things that can go wrong. I will be looking at a device that has a Ruida controller so I can use the Lightburn software. I have watched many of their tutorials. I have really enjoyed Russ's videos as he gets into the nitty gritty of things that can go wrong and I can see where have some of that knowledge will help me to get through any difficulties that can arise.
So, that being said, I look forward to using this platform for sharing and for help.
