I just installed a 6445 controller from Cloudray and am trying to get it up to speed with the help of a file from Lightburn. I am comparing that user file to an old one from my last laser with Notepad++ and slowly figuring out the settings and where they are.
"ID": "0x1 series seems to be the laser tube
"0x2" seems to be the X axis
"0x3" seems to be the Y axis
"0x4' seems to be the Z axis
"0x5" I think is the U axis
Here is a manual for the 6445- it is a couple years old and I notice some changes-:
http://cloudray.oss-us-west-1.aliyuncs. ... 20V1.0.pdf
I am getting strange homing behaviors and the User menu from the manual used to have a homing category but... no longer.
Lets document what we have learned about this controller as I think it will be very common going forward. Vendor and User files are welcome- both RDworks and Lightburn but please label them as such and maybe specify the homing corner. Thanks Gene

I have finally got this controller working correctly after loading this firmware update [had to use RDworks to update...]- it fixed the 'Wind' output problem.
. I have used this controller enough to really like it- the numberpad on the readout panel is slick and there is a key in the center of the up/down/left/right buttons that toggles between continuous and pulse [probably not the correct label] so that you can move the head in steps for very fine adjustments. IMHO it is a worthy upgrade. The only thing I have noticed that is different from the 6442 series is the Air Assist triggers when the laser triggers instead of being on during the travel time for the layer. I have seen this mentioned before and did not think it would be noticeable but it is.

Hi,
You can correct this.
Go to RDWorks at the place of the layers, you can select "User" then Other. there you find "BLOW TYPE" select "Processing Blow" and not "Laser on Blow" and you fixed your problem.
Sorry for my English i am from Belgium, Dutch language.
I hop i helped you.
Raoul

I will try this and note it in my review if it works as I hope it does. Not sure it makes a big difference but it is disconcerting when you are used to the other option. Thanks, and no problem with language- this forum has provided an opportunity to converse with a very wide range of people using many different languages. My great-grandparents were from the Germany/Luxembourg border area as far as I can research the area. A wide range of immigrant has made this country a strong resilient nation [in my opinion].
P.S. - this setting does not exist in Lightburn [yet] but I have RDworks .40 for these times and changed it. I read that the setting does not seem to stay in the controller parameters when shut down... we will see.
