Hi all,

When I turn my machine on it says " RDLC 5.00.38"
Does that indicate what variant of the controller I have? There are no visible markings on the controller itself.

My controller button layout looks like this but I've seen two versions... mine has a "low res" screen.

Additionally, are there any firmware updates for it? I'm battling an issue where Z movements in a job somehow affect the speed an power when doing images.

Thanks.

That appears to be a 6442, of which there are a few varients with different letters following- there are picts of the controllers here:

As far as firmware, I don't think we have a listing of those but some of our members are more up on that. I doubt that the firmware is causing your problem but we will need more info to make a accurate guess. Here is a thread with some of the common questions that we need to ask to get to an intelligent answer. Gene

Thank you Gene,

Looks like I have a RDLC320. I will post more details about the issue in another thread. It's either the controller or LIghtburn. There is at least one other person having the same issue.

Five or six years ago I bought a machine with a 320 and switched to a 6442- the picts you showed don't look like a remember the 320 looking but... I am old and memory fades. If you do have a 320 I would consider stepping up to a 6442 or 6445- the 320 is really old.

I was going to ask about upgrading. Thanks for the input, I might do just that. I'd like the option for a rotary in the future anyway.

Here's some pics of the actual machine. (and some mods I did already)
