Or maybe there is a forum plugin for a simple shop with Paypal? There was a few on SMF I looked at for a forum but I don't know my way around PHP's mods.

Tim, I really have no interest in selling the plans, only if it can contribute to the forum in some way.

I gathered that. Gumroad is just a fairly simple option to process anything used for fund raising by the item that can be included as a simple forum link.

The store option if it exists is preferable as it controlled by the forum and one less link to deal with.

We have a paypal donation function on the site already.
