Yeah. I have a couple more pieces that I need to cut and install, but time didn't allow and I was excited to post something.

Machine with 1/4" hardware cloth stretched tight over the knife style bed. It's similar in function to a honeycomb table, but easier to flatten because I can adjust the knife style table in the z axis easier than honeycomb.

Configured to hold a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood flat. The vacuum is enough to keep the plywood within about 1/4" of flat which is sufficient for my purposes.

Configured to hold 2x 24"x120" glued planks. At 3/16" thick, the planks pull flat nicely against the wire mesh

Video showing the vacuum pulling the thin planks flat. I have used jigs before to accomplish a similar result on smaller pieces, but across such large pieces, vacuum was really the only way I could think of to hold the wood flat.

It's been a long time since I've posted anything. We moved in November of last year and it had taken me until now to get any real progress in the new shop.
I finally finished setting up the exhaust and vacuum system and man does this thing SUCK! It's having no problem holding thin sheet goods super flat, and I'm looking forward to experimenting with 1/2" ply.
