Gene, thanks that is something I have considered. The machine is about 3 years old, I am not positive if it used to be able to circles without issue, but I think it was. I'm not looking for any fine fitting mechanical parts, but I was just hoping to get this less noticeable visually. I have just been trying some different product ideas and that's when I ran into my recent issue.
I had a stepper motor fail on the x axis about a year ago, but other than that the machine has worked very well for it's price.
I will have to spend the time pulling things a part and looking a bit more closely.

I would try to reduce the acceleration and idle speed a little. If the engine is not powerful enough, it can lose steps if it suddenly breaks down. Well, you really need to make sure that there are no mechanical backlashes.

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thanks for the help and provide an update for anyone else with similar issues down the road.
I did a thorough cleaning of the timing pulleys, and replaced my x-axis belt. This has significantly reduced any issues I was seeing in circles.
I am happy with the results and things are looking good again.
