Hello from Colorado

I'm new to the laser etching/cutting hobby. I've been working with 3D printers for about 4 years. I do have one 3D printer that has a laser attachment that will do some light etching/burning and that is what interested me to buy a larger machine. I recently purchased an Orion Motor Tech 50W 110V CO2 Laser (Chinese laser) off of Amazon. As I was waiting for it to arrive I found Russ' videos and I'm sure his videos already saved me hours of time and possibly extended the life of my first laser tube (we'll see) :)

So far it's working well, I've tried a bunch of different "safe" materials and upgraded the exhaust after the first day of making my house smell like a fireplace.

I hope to learn a bunch and share if I'm able.

Terry

Welcome Terry. The laser is another tool in making things and making some things easier.
