I am just starting out with this adventure. Looking forward to seeing what can be done with this machine. I have lots of ideas and projects in mind and hope to be able to contribute to this community.

Welcome Frank- there is a huge amount of knowledge here and our members share it well. In response [not really an answer] to your coolant question, there are many answers but few absolutes. I have been running my laser for 3 years with distilled water and am now renovating my laser, bed and electronics and bought a bottle of this stuff to change mine. I am not into over-maintaining things, BTW.

Thanks for the shout back, I'll look into this stuff. I have watched a lot of YouTube videos and there is a lot of questionable info out there. I figured you guys and gals may have a good answer.

A happy day here, my Chins blue 50 W laser was delivered 2 days early.

I still need to move it down to the basement but that is tomorrow's project when I can get some help.

Stay tuned.

Hello Frank!

It's kind of weird that you are from Bennington Vermont... I'd never heard of Bennington until last week when I unearthed (literally unearthed, I found it buried in the backyard) an interesting little square clay pot from Bennington Potters, Vermont.

The very next day you posted your hello from Bennington.
It's a strange small world we live in...

So... Hello!

Ah yes Bennington Potters is a mile from my house! My wife loves their stuff.

Thanks for the note Hank.
