Hi
Can anyone help with this problem, my laptop crashed out the other day and I eventually got back into it, but when I went to my rd and tried to import the download button had disappeared, however I uninstalled the programme and reinstalled the button had returned, but when I loaded the design and tried to send to my laser there was no send button just a blank area where it should have been, I have installed several times and done a clean up but still no send button to output to my laser?, anybody got any ideas on this problem?
Trevor

Hi Trevor, are you configure the IP of your laser cutter inside rdworks ?
Near to the right-down corner rdworks have a button "settings" and to the right the IP of your laser cutter
Maybe rdworks dont "see" any controller then dont allow you to donwload anything
Tell us about the results
Martín

Hi
Thank you for your reply, could not find a button that says settings at the bottom right corner?, I have downloaded the rdworks to a second computer and the same problem, on the process control box there is no send button to enable to run my laser machine, so must be doing something wrong, downloaded it from thunder laser site
any ideas?

Hi
Thank you for your reply, the box you refer to with the arrow is present with all the buttons except start, that is what is missing, I have downloaded onto another computer and it is exactly the same, any ideas on how to get that button back

There's a file called "soft" in the RDWorks installation folder. Open that in notebook or similar, and find the line that says ShowStartBtn=0. Change 0 to 1 and save the file.
This seems to be a feature of some recent versions. Thunder Laser, maybe.

Hi Thanks for the suggestion, I have gone into the file and found showdocstartBtn=0 and changed to 1, then saved but I load the RD again and still the same, but when I go back to the notepad it has gone to 0 again? am I doing something wrong?

Copy the "soft.ini" on to your desktop
Edit the file and save to your desktop (open a check it saved)
If it is now saved the way you edited it
now COPY the file back in the RDWORKS directory
and select copy and replace
it should say you administrator rights
select the administrator continue button
