Hello to all,

My name is Raymond Scott. I prefer to be called Ray.

My primary laser machine is a Rabbit, 60 Watt, 36x24 inches (RL-60-9060). I also own a desktop ShopBot CNC router, Chinese flatbed laser, fiber engraving laser, custom cnc lathe, manual metal lathe, and a respectable personal woodworking shop. I have also owned many other Rabbit laser machines, ... lots of assorted tools, machine parts, and scrap materials.

I own the laser company of Rabbit Laser USA. Many people in the LASER engraving hobby/business have heard of my company.

I prefer to be contacted by email. I try to spend my time with God, family, friends, fun projects, and work.

I have a college degree in Arts and a few more college degrees in Engineering. I understand that no college can make a smart man. A smart man is one who learns from his experiences and other people's experiences, uses creativity and brings new ideas to light, and shows wisdom by applying our learned ideas to the world at hand. My goal of becoming a smart man is a continuous journey. I hope to be humble enough to understand that I will need to ask for guidance along the way.

I limit my enthusiasm of sports to when I watch my kids play tennis, swim at a competition, ride horses, or shovel the horse crap. My family likes to participate... rather than watch it on TV.

I like to use CAD and my laser machine to design and build a variety of projects. My favorite projects include small educational robotic toys, challenging puzzles, Moving Lamps, Living Hinge boxes, .... and other challenges that friends have presented to me.

I also write software in a variety of languages. My most complex programs have been written in VB.net, PHP,

My intention for my role at RDWorksLab.com is:
1) to be a contributor of new ideas,
2) to help others in this community with laser machines that are having problems,
3) to donate my time toward making projects that are shared in the community for free.
4) to learn from the shared contributions of the community

The moto of my life is this: Go do stuff that I can be proud of. Expect that my actions could be judged on any day... in the extreme... and I smile because I know which side of the extreme I will be on.

Wow..... I just posted my Tell Us About You post and thought I would take a look around and the next post under mine was someone from the manufacturer on the laser we purchased.

Is that a small world or what? I may have to reach out to you for help figuring what I am getting myself into!
