(My apologies in advance, but I’m not sure what would be the most appropriate place to post this):

Apparently my maintenance procedures must rhyme or I’ll void the warranty:

Your post is completely unacceptable - you did not Rhyme a single syllable nor did you include a Limerick

Back before crime of mass deletion, we had a pretty good thread documenting the funniest Chinese to English translation errors.

It's not just Chinese to English. A friend of mine who works with heavy machinery got a manual in Swedish, auto-translated from English, where "vattenfår" ("water sheep") was mentioned all over the place. After scratching their heads for a while, they got the manufacturer to mail them the English original. Apparently, it was "hydraulic rams".

Back in the early days of PC Word Processing, a branch of Thorn EMI wanted a system. It must have spell check. The system they ended up with did auto correct. Unfortunately though it could not be customised, so you were stuck with what the spell check gave you, and had to correct any mistakes it made afterward. Manually.

For Thorn EMI, the program would substitute Horny EMU.

I just bought a laser from China
I've never seen anything finer.
It arrived really late
And the manual ain't great,
So please don't call me a whiner.
