Rotary Setup Help

I have a Jinan Rodeo CNC Machinery RJT-6090. Using Lightburn and RDWORKS 8.01.26

The laser has a connector for the Rotary adapter. Tracing the cable, it goes to a solenoid and the Y axis goes to the other side. The remaining wires go to the Y axis controller. I just need to know where the hidden switch to turn it on is.

Does anyone know where the command in RDworks to control the Y relay is?

DO NOT DISCONNECT THE Y AXSIS WHEN THE LASER IS ENERGIZED

1. I am not familiar with your machine - some require disconnecting the Y axis cable and plugging the rotary in to the now open socket (some don't and have separate connection)
2. to enable rotate in RDWORKS you must start RDWORKS and the laser, select READ, select the user tab in RDWORKS, scroll down to rotate and enable - Now WRITE

Thanks Pete,

But that is not working, the photo shows the clear relay mounted to the black receptacle. Clearly the Y-input comes into the relay, and is switched to either the Y-stepper or the rotary connector. This much I have traced out.

The back Blue and Red wires ( top left - back row) are the solenoid activation, still tracing where they are going.

The suggestion you made, I had tried and should have worked, but no voltage change to the solenoid, so I will keep at it and see. Else I will wire my own toggle switch - LOL

Did you get the rotary from Robotec?- it looks like the machine may have 3 phase steppers- is the rotary 3 phase [3 wires ] or 2 phase [ 2 or 4 wires]?

Probably connected to the Ruida controller, Connector (CN) 1, pin 2 or pin 3. You could probably check it with an ohmmeter. Now, how does one control those outputs using RDWorks?

It is 2 phase / 4 wires, the photo does not show it clearly as on wire is routed differently but maintains the 4 into the solenoid and the two seperate 4 wire outputs switched by the relay -- either Y axis or rotary device.

I sent you a link to dropbox - it has a video. Did you ever get it?
