Hello from Switzerland

I'am 45 years old and live near Lucerne. I just got my 100W chinese laser a few days ago. I will use the machine for personal project's mainly electronics, woodwork, making stuff etc in my garage workshop. I have used the machine in the local fablab a few times but I am still considering myself to be a novice in this field. I've seen many of Russ' Video's, read articles in this forum and already bought the dohicky 
I am currently preparing the machine for the first power cycle...I have fitted a board under the legs as a shelf for storage, added casters and an Ampere-Meter.
My next challenges will be creating a new exhaust port since the current one is on the back of the machine and takes to much space. I would like to make one the bottom...has anybody done that?
I am also considering buying Lightburn but I have only worked with RDWorks so far...
