Photo Engraving?

Do we have a copy of The Russ Formula For Photo Engraving? In his video, he shows a 2-page document. I was unable to find it here on the (newly restored) forum.

I just tried engraving a photo for the first time - and it sucked.

Thanks!

-Jeff

It`s hard to find the correct words to describe all the work and valuable information that you put out for all to benefit from.
let me start by saying, many thanks, Richard Bareno

I too want to thank everyone for making my journey into the laser world one that is enjoyable, with some minor frustrations caused by my own hand.
THANK YOU ALL!!

THANK YOU FOR THE LINK ITS MUCH APPRECIATED. I HAVE TRIED PHOTO ENGRAVING SOME OF MY GRANDKIDS PICS AND FOR THE MOST PART THEY ARE NICE RENDITIONS OF A LOW PIXEL PHOTOGRAPH- .8MP TO 2.4MP. JUST WONDERING WHAT IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE MINIMAL MP FOR A QUALITY ENGRAVING. ALSO IN FOLLOWING THE FORMULA I NOTED THAT THE 15% MUST BE FOR A 40-50 WATT MACHINE BECAUSE WITH MY 100W I MADE CHARCOAL. I REDUCED IT THE 9% WHICH IS BY THE MANUFACTURERS SUGGESTION AND STILL APPEARS A LITTLE TOO DARK BUT IF I BRIGHTEN IT UP I LOSE DEFINITION. THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATE IN EDUCATING THE ENGRAVERS OF THE WORLD.

Speed can be increased to lighten
and or and the interval can be decreased to lightened

All the parameters work together to define the outcome
