Yellow Red White and Black

Silly question here,
Is there besides the colors on the outside any differences within the machine of the versions Yellow/Black, Red/Black, Blue/White.
I'm in the process of ordering a Red/Black 80W, or would one of the other color combinations 80W be better?

Nope, it's just the color. These lasers are all clones of each other, made by different companies in different factories. I suspect (just a guess - I have no evidence) that the clone companies copied the color (along with the design) so that consumers will assume they're "the same" as the original. Otherwise, there's no significance to the colors.
One might ask, "who made the original?" or "who makes the best one?" and the short answer from me is "I don't know". Perhaps the 50W was originally designed by Shenhui or Keihui.

You do have to look really close at the machine pictures and the text of the ads now. It used to be that the clones were pretty much the same but you can't count on that to be true anymore. Some manufacturers are really cutting corners. We are seeing machines with controllers that are not Ruida. Trocen controllers are very common but some machines are showing up with really, really junky no-name controllers. Other units are showing up with steel rods for rails instead of bearing block + extruded rail systems. You need to confirm specifications with the seller so that you have it documented in case your machine shows up with different components.
