Hey
How do you feel about the smell and smoke from laser cutting plywood and plexiglass?
Do you use any filters?

If I'm cutting a bunch of plexiglass (acrylic), I wear a respirator.

I don't mind the smell but I do mind the smoke. I have a fume extractor that takes care of the smoke and cuts down on the smell - but you still smell wood burning. But I have no smoke. my laser is in detached garage that I heat and cool so i prefer not to exhaust to the outdoors.
My fume extractor is not top of the line but rather good enough. I have to replace the particulate filter periodically due to resin build up form burning wood - otherwise it is pretty maintenance free.
