RD V8.01.41 software will not complete install

I am hoping the community can help me. I am trying to install an updated version of RD Works from the Chinese site. Version 08.01.41. I had recently had a data loss on my computer and my files got deleted including my settings document that I had saved. When my laser started to act up I tried making adjustment manually and really messed up my machine.

When I try to install the new version of RD works the Execute file stops running after I install the USB driver. The install screen disappears. I can see some files in my program files but the actual application Icon is not present. It does not add an icon to my desktop nor in my programs menu.

I have disabled my firewall as someone on this forum suggested but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

I am running RDC6442S 60 Watt.

I was finally able to get the new version to install. Although it did not solve my problem of my laser head homing in the upper left hand corner above my work table. I will work on that next.

You mean V8.01.40, not V8.01.41, right? I don't see V8.01.41 on the Chinese website when I visit.

Congratulations! Could you tell us what you did to fix the problem? You may be able to help someone who searches the Forum in the future.

It is located under the downloads for the 664SX/G downloads. Unfortunately this did not solve my problem but the new software is working like the old version so far. I haven't been able to send any files to my laser yet, I can see the files in the menu on the machine.

Unfortunately I have lunched my vendor settings. I accidentally saved over the top of the original file. I am going to post to the FB page to see if anyone can send me the vendor settings for the 664SX. My laser head is now stuck in the far upper left hand corner of my table against the rail.

Nothing I try seems to help. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

did you set the home position in the settings to where your end stop switches in the machine are?
and never forget to press read before changing anything and writing.
