Hello,
My name is Steve and I own 2 lasers. Boss 55x36 bed - 150 watt machine (2" lens), and a Boss 30x16 - 100 watt machine (4" lens). I have been lasering acrylic 8 hours a day for the last 4 years. The parts are used for manufacturing of acrylic aquarium filters, aquariums and acrylic bird cages. The machines daily engrave and cut cast acrylic. (up to 1/2" thick) I have a lot of experience for what we do, but none for wood or tumblers. I am looking to increase my knowledge and help anyone with what I specialize in. I maintain and repair our machines and I'm knowledgeable about the Boss machines 4th and 5th generation. We use adobe illustrator. I have a CS5000 chillers on each machine and both machines are run with a 25 gallon compressor (15-20 psi regulation) with moisture removers inline. We also expanded the vacuum system to 8 inches and each use a 1000 cubic ft per min. pumps. That is double the power than the one they supply and it keeps the fumes and odors outside. The new website will be up Oct.5 and is www.acrylichabitats.com if anyone is interested in our product line. We do a lot of custom work and have been doing this type of work for 32 years.

Looking very forward to your website, please post when it is published. I am very interested in promoting laser based and laser assisted businesses, small businesses have been very good to me and for me.

Hi Steve
I have some issues with engraving. I have the potential to land a big job but not with the product my machine produces.
I have 150w w/4'' lense, I'm running at 400mm/s at 25% power. See the photos below. Have you encountered this problem before?
Thanks
Evan

Evan- there are so many reflections and glare, it is hard to tell what the problems are.
