Hi, I'm Chris Low - Coach of a high school robotics team in San Diego CA. Our Team just purchased a Boss LS-2440 100 Watt laser - it is up, running, and we (OK, *I*) an trying to learn RD Works and get rolling on this.

Then to teach the kids, and hopefully not blind anyone in the process.

Welcome Chris, good on you for teaching the young anything [and especially robotics] they are going to need all the skills and help they can get, I am afraid. It is good to teach caution but I have never heard of an actual eye injury from CO2 lasers. I imagine someone has managed it but do not believe it to be common. I can tell you that if you get flesh in the path of the beam... you will move it quickly . Gene
