I just received a red and black 80watt. Having fun tinkering.

Engraves great, but having troubles getting it to cut thin plywood. Beam alignment is my next task. It seemed ok when I started, but I am going to try and dial it in more. Hopefully that is the problem and not the tube. Have already installed an AM meter.

yeah, sometimes you are "lucky" enough to have to rebuild the machine from scratch (bed and axes alignment, wiring, ...) due to chinese "quality"

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Based on all I read about chinese "quality" I am actually impressed with what I received.

So far the seller has been helpful, but we will see after my ebay/paypal dispute time passes... Not expecting much. Just ordered the parts for the air assist mod and need to decide on a rotary.
