I am installing the air assist mod from cloudray. I am about ready to go live with it and am wondering the function of the switch. Is it basically to ground the wind and status leads to open the air flow and power the relay in one position and allow the controller to be "auto" in the other position. The reason I am asking is I roasted my switch with my monster soldering iron and need a new switch.
Basically I just need a dual position switch that is on/off right? Two inputs to isolate the wind and status leads until the switch is hot? So when it is on it makes a circut and bypasses the controller? Without the switch installed, air will only work through the controller.. right?
Thanks
Chris

I just installed a light version of the mod (just turning the compressor on and off for noise/power reduction and overall life time increase). The switch is useful for controlling the air volume that comes out of the nozzle and if you do quick cuts via pulse and arrow keys (the relay doesn't get activated by the pulse button for me).
For installation instructions I found this useful https://youtu.be/iNEYCQQ8PZU
And yes, your are right (if I understand your question): The switch switches between "auto air" and "air on".
And mine ran under the name "AC 3A/250V 6A/125V 6 Pin DPDT On/On 2 Position Mini Toggle Switch" (the six pins make soldering easier).
