search function

Hi all,
trying to improve my search ability in the forum by using multiple words - all of which must be found together.
e.g. I was searching to see if I could find "post box"
I tried quite a few options but keep getting either post or box, whereas I actually want the entire string to be found.
Can someone steer me the right direction.

since the forum is available to read for everybody, google does index it.
you can use google search and restrict to this forum, using a seach query like this
the quotes are here to force to search an exact expression, not just "post" and "box"
the "site:" directive is here to restrict the site to search
the problem is even google can not find any "post box" entry, so it finds some pages with post and box on the forum...

Hello,
In addition to Sebastien LaForet's answer, I wanted to offer a solution that will work on some sites.
There are sites where you can run a search and then run a search on the results of the prior search. I know this method sounds kludgey, however, the method actually is helpful if you're looking for a finite set of information.
I haven't tried the method on this site, but let's say I could search in that manner, it would look something like this;
1) Input - Post - 400 results (there will be a comment by or in the search box that says search on these results)
2) Input - Box - 200 results (now here's where this method pays off)
>>> Through my first two searches I've found that I have too many results
3) Input - Red - 18 results (if this turns out to be not quite what I wanted I can back up and run another input)
I use this method when I'm looking for parts because I actually like being able to see a more robust data set before I start paring down. Like I said, not all sites will let you run descending searches, but it's nice when you can.

You can do that here as well - the search box on the right is a global search
The search box on the left searched in the topic selected or the search results - which ever screen you are viewing
