60w tube 50w power supply ?

My 60w power supply went out tonight. I have a 50w power supply that I removed when upgraded to 60w tube and supply.
What are the disadvantages (or maybe advantages) to installing a 50w power supply with a 60w tube until the new one arrives.
I know that all my known values will now be unknown again and the tube will be less productive on the high end but has anyone done this and what was the results?
Thanks

Not done this on a Laser but providing the voltage on the supplies is the same it should work fine.

The maximum power limit then 'should' be set by the supply so there 'should' be no risk of pushing beyond it's rating. Providing the Laser is actually rated at 50W (I am sure yours is kosher but others may not be if they follow later) there is no real risk to the tube.

As to your settings as per Russ's findings it will be a non linear relationship but lower across the entire Laser power curve. Back to experiment first, cut second until your new one arrives ;)

Actually - I believe one of Russ's earlier video he commented that his blue and white was configured with a 50watt pwr supply and 60 watt tube.
