With this newest release giving me previews before opening a project, I am now using LB about 98% for all my laser projects and design. The 2% RDW is to open something in the image library, save it as an ai so that I can import it into LB. Pretty much the same for CorelDraw. I think I have opened CD about 2 times in the last month because I can design most everything in LB. Also, the ability to snap shop my bed for placement of the project is probably the most useful thing since sliced bread and sames me countless time.

I'm impressed, Willy- I thought you were a hardcore 'it's not worth it to switch' guys. And you are definitely one of our Power Users- high praise indeed. This winter I am going to have to switch and then switch my peeps over...

I was putting off trying LightBurn until 1.0. Am I just being foolish?

It has a number of great tools but if you don't have a problem I am a fan of don't fix it.

Look for another bug fix version be released soon to fix a couple bugs. Like others, I have noticed the lack of handles/endpoints when you select a line segment. There are a few additional issues needing fixing according to recent forum postings.

Jeff, I would not hesitate to start the changeover to LightBurn whenever you have the time. The program has matured enough. Once you get going with it, you will really do everything you can to avoid having to go back and use RDWorks. I would start learning by watching LightBurn's videos on Youtube.

Thunderlaser is now including Lightburn with their tools as well. I don't use RDWorks at all now unless I need some sort of low level function.
I really do wish that Ruida controllers could read and write longer file names, though.
