Hi all,
I am a complete novice and wanting to start a small business with my son to etch glass cups. I have been watching a lot of the videos and I still have a ton of questions!

Welcome Boyd. Glass mason jars was the original reason I bought my laser. I did 168 of them as wedding favors. Five months later when my other daughter got married, I did 168 pub glasses along with 168 coasters shaped as a police badge for their wedding favors. I also made most of the décor for their tables. I do have a quick question about the amp meter. where and what type do I need?

I use an analog meter but some folks say that a digital works well also. I'm old school and analog don't lie and doesn't have to think before it shows you a number. 0 to 30 is sufficient and is easier to read than say a 0 to 100. The meter will be an in series circuit on the ground side. Cut the wire going to the ground side of the tube (smaller wire toward the end of the tube where the laser beam comes out) and install the meter right between these now two wires.

I agree that the analog meter is more useful- and that is 30mA by the way- over 100w might want to go to 50mA.
