Hello,77i have the attached file to cut/scan.
Black is cut and red is scan.

The Cut works, but the scan does not scan all letters, see attached pic.

What can be the reason for that ?

Thanks
Matthias

Import the attached file and try it now - you will probably have to resize it to your needs.
The issue was open vectors - I have fixed them.

Hello,

i have nothing to open a *.ai file .. but i found the Error.
It is a "special" Font for Airplane Panles, but this one has a little error in it.
So i take another from the same Font Family and now it works fine.

Thanks for your help, it gives me the idea where i have to start searching.

Thnaks

You can import AI files into RDWorks directly..you don’t need any other software

Great job Pete, I couldn't open/import the dxf, so tried the rld file. It acted strangely for me until I changed the scan/cut areas to different colours then looked ok. Froze my rdworks initially.

i have found using rld file made with newer versions of RDWORKs trashes my version of RDWORKS and I have to uninstall and reload. So i don't open other peoples rdl files anymore...ever.

Did you try importing the ai file I uploaded?

What version of RD Works are you using?

Yes, i have imported the *.ai file. It was in the wrong size, but it works fine.

v8.01.18 - -I have no need to upgrade. Upgrading RDWORKS is like putting lipstick on a pig - when you are done it is still just pig and you have wasted some time - -it may look better as beauty is in the eye of the beholder (but all I see is a pig).
I only use RDWORKS to assign a power and the type layer.
