I am kinda proud of this piece- I designed it in Fusion 360 and tested it and reworked it a few times to add small details. Printed on my MK3s in PETG and the 'rosette' and stand were cut on the laser of course. This was an early iteration made from oak MDF plywood.
I have made things for other people my whole life... now I make things for me

. I read in bed and the corner of my Kindle with cover slips into this to hold the kindle in the correct position for reading while lying on my side, propping it up on a pillow was just not quite good enough.

Altering your environment to accommodate your needs has always been a motivating factor for me.

It has been one of the nice things to come out of 3D printing and Lasers for me is rather than bodge something together to fix a minor problem in my life. I spent a chunk of time (still very new to Fusion at the time) making a headphone hanger. There is a nice satisfying positive fit with this and while the a cup hook would have worked it would always look like a bent cup hook

The combination of Fusion 360 and a 3D printer has been a constant inspiration to me. The laser is often an easier tool for some designs, and I love it, but this is a whole new world to explore. I have done many things in my life, electronics/computers, auto restoration, auto modifications and street rods from the ground up and I find that design and production is a curious high for me. Even better than a good beer buzz- alto that is a close and necessary second.
