Ender 3 vs. Prusa Mk3s

This is a good article for people considering a 3d printer- you spend more, you get more, as you would think. But having built two Ender 3s, it is a very good basic printer for a good price. I started with a Creality CR10 and soon realized the potential for actually making things of value to human beings and a great way to prototype designs. I will admit to [as Tim sez] drinking the Prusa 'koolaid' but for what I do it works, and works every time.

Had a few minutes to read it and most of it is fairly balanced. Given the over 50% reduction in price between the two (I don't consider the standard Ender worth buying) take a few of the spare $ saved and add the following.

Capricom Tubing https://www.captubes.com/ Creality are starting to ship some of their printers with this as standard now. Helps a lot with reduced retraction needed. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3302317 ... 75canR5HN2

The Creality or a Similar Ultrabase type Glass Bed https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3289103 ... 3a92ip5jvt or better yet buy the Ender Pro version that now comes with it as standard. The Magnetic bed sold by creality is ok for PLA temps and maybe PETG but will fail for ABS, also it is fairly soft so mechanically it will be an issue with use.

Lastly buy from them direct IMO the couple of minor things I needed after sales support on were handled very promptly and sensibly. They also have ebay drop shipment accounts around the world if you go looking locally so much faster and in a lot of cases cheaper than buying from China.
