New to the forum and have not long gotten a red eBay 60w laser. I’ve used lasers and cnc machines at work but having recently left to pursue other options I missed using them so have bought the laser and plan to get a cnc router soon.

Welcome to the forum.
A good combination to have, CNC and lasers complement each other well. There are some fantastic example photos on this forum, particularly in the sign making area.
