Exhaust fan using Woodworking Dust Extractor Fan

Thoughts Experiences or Ideas. I just brought a BNIB 2hp Extractor for my 2.2kW CNC Router rebuild very cheap. https://www.carbatec.com.au/dust-extrac ... ode-fm-300

I have ordered the T-Slot for my 1/4 sheet Laser build and was wondering if mounted close by with a 5" line in then bypass the filter bag and cyclone for Laser use straight to a Flu using blast gates if the Fan could do double duty?

My back of the Napkin 'guess' says it is worth a go but have you seen this or similar done in the past?

I think you will be good if you can keep the ducting short and as direct as possible, I have had a similar one behind my panelsaw for 15 years and have only emptied the bag occasionally. Mind your exhaust routing in the cabinet too, I forget how big the bed will be on yours. I am itching to incorporate the new design bedpan on mine but my focus now is staying out of the hospital and alive.
