Just wondering if any of you guys have come across this and have any advice I have a Chinese 80 w laser with an m2 nano motherboard and the power output fluctuates dramatically. I have fitted an ammeter so I can now see whats happening. I have checked the voltage from the digital control panel and all seems well and this doesn't change during operation. What can happen is I will set the output to say 40% and I read around 2 volts from the panel which is about right. The laser will start and sometimes read 1 to 2 milliamps then all of a sudden it will jump to 10 milliamps which is what you would expect at 40% it will run like that for while then drop back down again which is really pissing me off because it ruins the job when engraving. I have checked as many connections as I can and found no issues. Is there any way to check the output from the power supply without killing myself. The laser has done this since new.
