Hello All,
This is a new adventure for me. My husband is a builder and cabinet maker. We have a Shopbot CNC machine and decided to add a sign-9060 with a RDC6445G Control System laser to our shop. I do most of the drawing of designs for the Shopbot in ArtCAM. I have worked in computers for over 20 years and left my position as a network administrator for a local college at the end of 2018 to help and care for my parents after my father had an injury that incapacitated him for about 6 months.
Now I want to learn how to use the laser to help my husband and to do some things of my own. I'm sure this forum will provide lots of insight.

Welcome Dawn- I googled your laser and it seems like a sturdy unit and should be very capable. I also have had 3 Shopbots and there are many things that a laser can do much faster [and things it cannot do, of course] and it should be a good addition. We have a lot of info about lasers and lasering, read as much as interests you and ask whatever questions you may have. Gene

Hello Dawn -
You will find your ArtCam is a better design tool than RDWORKs - I use Aspire. create you designs in ArtCam and export as an "*.ai" to import into RDWORKS
You will find our revised user manual for RDWORKs esier to understand that the typical manual provided. While it was rewritten written to address Version 19 it still explains thing in a using english vice chinglish.
