Another camera question

For those of you that do / did use the camera. Like it, love it, hate it, take it or leave it?
I use Corel for most of my design work on faily large pieces. Wit the exception of some smaller pieces that interlock, most of my stuff is in the 150mm and larger up to around 550mm. I can see the ability to position small pieces on scrap from other projects, but beyond that, what is the camera really used for? Can it take a photo and turn it into an engraved piece? Pros and con's of it?

The camera in combination with the LightBurn software is unbeatable. My laser pointer mount broke some time ago. I had 3D printed a bracket to hold two line lasers, providing a perfect cross-hair set for alignment. After the camera was released, the bracket cracked and I used the camera alone.
Even with a few mm inaccuracies, the flexibility of placement of the work is tremendous. I'm able to square the wood more easily, able to use scraps and ensure the work will fit on smaller pieces. LB does allow you to trace an image from the bed, but I have to work on getting my focus better to make that work.
It's a pricey upgrade, relatively speaking and if you are doing full sheet work, you may not find much value in the camera.

I use my camera a lot. In fact I use it so much, that I just received my new 8mp camera to replace the 5mp I was using.
I am building a new mount system that will get the camera about 12" from my work instead of 29" in hopes to do some detailed trace work.
I have done quite a few upgrades including beam combiner but this is by far the most useful upgrade that I have made to now.
It is not only good for using up material. When you update the overlay, if you have it calibrated properly, simply move your design over the inlay picture and hit start. No need to frame, move, frame, move, etc.

It can be fussy to set up, but when it's working it's pretty slick. (granted, I'm biased)

Noooo, why would you ever be biased? LOL
It looks like a neat setup. I may think about it down the road. I use Corel now for my design work, then dump it into RDWorks via the macro to set the cutting and groups. Not the greatest, but I like what I can do with Corel and I've already purchased two licenses for it so I'm not going to be jumping ship all too soon. Add in that I do mostly larger pieces from Corel and I can't justify it right now. Who knows, I have a good web cam, may download the trial and play with it. You never know.

LightBurn has a Corel macro as well, and the overall workflow is similar, but we’re quite a bit faster for most things:

Since you are familiar with RDWorks and Corel, maybe you can point me in the right direction with Corel.
I have two licenses and have it on four computers All running Win 7, two are 32 bit, two are 64 bit. But on one royal PITA 32 bit computer I get an MVB Run-time error -2147467259 (80004005) - Object not found in collection. I get it when I open or switch windows in Corel. It is only when the RDWorks macro loads. I rename the macro extension and it comes right up and switches no problem.
It's a computer that I install and de-install various software on and something has deleted / moved a file. I have done some hunting, but have yet to stumble across what was deleted / moved. Any pointers to start hunting? Even with all the programs I have loaded, I'm about to the point of clearing the hard drive and reloading everything from scratch.

I couldn't tell you any more about what's happening than you already know, unfortunately. "Object not found" sounds like it is loading a Visual Basic library of some kind and looking for a specific function, or set of functions, and not finding it. They're not giving you a lot to go on.

Downloaded th trial, going to play using my web cam... We will see what happens. Not the greatest, but it will let me get 'hands on'.
