Laser engraving bread (rolls)

Hello all

I have not been on much in the past several months since my 50watt China Blue laser tube went bad. I am currently installing a 80watt tube, a new PSU, and Russ’s light weight head of which I will share pictures of shortly.

Just prior to the laser tube failing I decided to make my wife a breakfast sandwich on a ciabatta roll one morning and wanted to have some fun with it. The attached picture is what I came up with.

She got quite the laugh out of it not to mention a great sandwich.

How did it taste? Some things really do not taste good after the lasering process!

My wife loved it! I tasted one of the trial rolls and thought it was fine.

I am looking forward to getting my machine back in operation. All the new parts are installed, PSU and tube wired, plumbing done. Now for the fun part , adjust the beam path.
