Ours is a generic Chinese-made machine with no manufacturing info visible anywhere. It has a Ruida controller and seems to work well enough so far.
We are a small company that upfits trucks and RVs for emergency response, for example fire and police mobile command centers. We are branching out into other vehicle-related areas. The laser will start out with making identification labels and then whatever else we can think of.
I've used a few different machines at the local DIY or maker space so I've been deemed the house expert. I may have a lot of basic questions.

I neglected to mention we are in California's capital city, Sacramento, an under-appreciated gem of a place in some ways.

Welcome Don- please read the FAQ section and record your machine perimeters now [before you need them
] and ask whatever questions you may have. I use quite a bit of Duets and Rowmark plastics with micro layers of a second color and find them very handy. I do work for the local fire depts and make different placards for there vehicles. I just got a few samples of three layer plastics from Romark and can see some applications for that as well. I was expecting a base color with a micro layer on the front and back for two sided signs but it instead allows two colors and the base on one surface only. Gene

I don't use RDWorks as my employer wants to use LightBurn. Also I was unable to install RDWorks as I don't have something to unpack a RAR file. I can take care of that if need be. But it appears, and I may misunderstand, that you suggest recording my machine parameters within RDWorks.

It can also be done with LBurn.

For what it's worth, I used "Free RAR Extract Frog". It works, and didn't install any noticeable malware on my machine. As with any free software, make sure you watch the install process carefully to be sure there's no bundled software that will be installed "by default".Don Teeter wrote: Fri Sep 04, 2020 I don't use RDWorks as my employer wants to use LightBurn.
